Our Music Monday tracks set the mood for your week with the freshest soundtrack of new music.
Ryan Hemsworth – Burying the Sun
Tonight is the summer solstice (longest day of the year) and it is extra special as this year it comes with a Strawberry Moon, the nickname given to a full moon in June. Coincidence or not, Canadian producer Ryan Hemsworth’s new release “Burying the Sun” is a perfect song for a sunny daydream on the year’s longest day.
Lion Babe – Endless Summer
NYC duo Lion Babe, who rocked Sasquatch! Festival last month, have released the first single from their upcoming Sun Joint mixtape. If “Endless Summer” is any indication, we can expect the perfect soundtrack for epic road trips and chill summer nights.
Justin Bieber – What Do You Mean It’s 1985 (Tronicbox Remix)
The Canadian-based composer and arranger Tronicbox has masterfully taken Justin Bieber’s “What Do You Mean” back 30 years with this 80s-influenced remix. From synths to sax solos, this is as retro as Bieber gets.
Zhu – Generationwhy
The superb LA-based producer Zhu, who’s impressive résumé includes recent collaborations with Skrillex and AlunaGeorge, has released another teaser to his upcoming summer album. “Generationwhy” is as addictive and infectious as previous releases and serves to show that his debut album could be one of the best of 2016.
Hayden James – Just a Lover
Australian producer Hayden James (best known for last summer’s smash hit “Something About You”) is back with another excellent house track. The long-awaited “Just a Lover” is a synth-drive dance track worthy of any summer playlist.
