Another week has begun, but it’s not just any other Monday. We’ve packed today’s Music Monday playlist with songs to ease you back into the grind of the week, yes, but #GIRLCRUSH LORDE ALSO RELEASED A NEW SONG TODAY! SAY WHAT?

Yep yep Lorde has finally released Yellow Flicker Beat, her contribution to The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1 soundtrack. No biggie because she’s also responsible for curating the soundtrack for the flick. The song’s an ode to Katniss Everdeen, or as Lorde puts it, “it’s my attempt at getting inside her head, katniss’.” So far, she’s succeeded in getting it in our head! Listen to the track below. The movie comes out November 21.

Take a break from the vid above (you know that repeating a YouTube clip is bad for your health, right?) and chill to the sounds of this week’s playlist.

An awesome collaboration between Sweden’s Elliphant and Denmark’s MØ. These Scandanavian queens trade verses and harmonies over a solid beat that will girl power the heck out of your Monday.

TĀLĀ grew up in London but it’s her Iranian roots that are most evident here. There’s an eerily hypnotic vibe that hangs over this electro-R&B track, but one we find so calming.

We’re complètement fou for this bouncy gem from Yelle! We danced like fools during her set at Sasquatch! this past summer and we’re doing it again at the office. Her new album comes out tomorrow on Kemosabe Records.

Holly Låpsley is not your average, selfie-lovin’, teenage girl like her Instagram would have you believe. The Liverpool-based 18-year-old just released this magical electro-pop track with does not fall short from being the most beautiful and moving song we’ve heard this week.

We’re reaching back to the summer in case you missed this track. Patient production, soothing vocals, driving guitars and affecting piano lines — there’s just a whole lot of good happening here.
