I have been posting gym selfies and activewear outfits on social media so I’m pretty sure it is one of the reasons why Garage Clothing invited me to run a 5km at the Big Bubble Run, and of course I was so excited! Who wouldn’t love to be swallowed up in a giant cloud of bubbles? And of course running is my hobby so I’m in!
I used to hate exercise, working out was something I was forced to do, and I used to complain that I had no time. It looked like torture for me, until I realized I needed to start moving my butt, and I am so proud of myself for making fitness as a part of my habits for the past 2 years. Some people say I don’t need to go to the gym or exercise because I’m already thin. Well, if you exercise it doesn’t mean you want to lose weight, and I don’t exercise to be the next sexy model or to be physically attractive. Honestly, I can tell you that if you’re just in it to look more physically attractive, believe me you won’t get that far.
Exercise makes me happy, I literally feel awesome whenever I exercise. I love the feeling of sweating and how it improves my energy levels. I love getting fit and strong. I started to understand that I could design my lifestyle in a way that would lead to the most fulfillment and enjoyment.
I got the chance to wear the latest Garage activewear collection and I fell in love with the fun patterns on their activewear collections. The prints are just perfect for the weather and so much more fun than a basic pair of black running tights. I do really feel good wearing it, the fabric is so light and never constricting, and I can move easily and fit it like a glove.
So let’s go on with my Bubble Run Experience… The Big Bubble Run will be the first of its kind in the Middle East, which is Dubai’s first ever foam race. We definitely had to walk, jog, or run wearing our activewear through a 5k course filled with loads of bubbles, exciting, isn’t it?
There were 5 bubble stations to run through, but we really just walked, chatted, and enjoy massive pile of bubbles while taking selfies. Oppps! Don’t forget to bring a waterproof case for your phone and sunglasses so bubbles did not get to your eyes. There were so many bubbles they covered us from head to toe! And tons of bubbles taller than us, so it is possible you might actually get lost. The finish line had a giant bubble machine gun which shot out bubbles, so by the end we were definitely soaked with bubbles! Overall, definitely a crazy fun and amazing experience!
