Don’t be mistaken: the United Arab Emirates may be located in the Arabian Desert but the climate in Dubai, along the Persian Gulf, is far from being dry and arid. Lush palm trees line Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Boulevard, the Dubai Fountain is the world’s largest dancing fountain with water jets shooting as high as 150 metres, and there are (indoor) ski hills and ice rinks in several malls. Dubai is also home to another modern marvel, the Dubai Miracle Garden. Whether a true miracle or a miracle of modern ingenuity, the garden showcases a wide variety of different flowers that are arranged in different shapes, like the Eiffel Tower or the Burj Khalifa, all year-round.
Our tour of Dubai with local bloggers took us to the Gardens and we asked Kimberly from Daily Dose of Fashion x, in her new floral kimono, to be our tour guide. Dubai Miracle Garden includes several different themed gardens, each more colourful than the other. With Kimberly’s floral outfit and amongst the hot sun and the various shapes and flowers, we were in the perfect location for a shoot.
