We all love to Oscars, and not necessarily just for the movie reviews. We just watch for the glitz, the glamour, and of course the dresses! And then there’s those awkward moments which everyone pretends to wish didn’t happen but we secretly love. Remember at the 2014 Oscars when Zac Efron messed up his lines? At least he looked smoking hot doing it. This year was not without it’s drama, awkward moments, beautiful dresses and surprises. Get in the loop, here is everything you need to know about the 2015 Oscars!
Emma Stone killed it this year! She looked like a magical Oscar party mermaid. We heart the green dress with her red hair and makeup. On point.
Chloe Grace Moretz looked like quite the little lady last night. The dress suited her perfectly. Her blond locks looked stellar and her makeup was sweet but not overdone. Looks like she had a real life Cinderella-esque night. Fairytale come true!
Jennifer Lopez was all WOW last night. What a stunning dress! She was one of the only celebs to embrace a full ballerina skirt and boy did she pull it off. We also love her chic pony tail. Way to go J. Lo!
WORST DRESSED: Lady Gaga
Ok this one you’ve probably already seen all over the Internet but seriously we cannot talk about the Oscars and not be like “WHAT WAS GAGA THINKING!” What is up with the gloves? It’s not even Gaga-artsy-weird, it’s just plain weird.
And then of course the Internet went wild. Here are some of the best posts:

But she made up for the funny outfit with this killer performance. After ArtPop where she was totally focused on fame instead of music, we forgot she could actually sing. What a beautiful voice. Julie Andrews even hugged her and thanked her when she was done!
COOLEST MUSICAL NUMBER:
Tegan and Sara. The girls got onstage in epic cool leather moto jackets. They performed The Lego Movie’s theme song Everything Is Awesome and it truly was awesome. Oprah and Emma Stone were given Lego Oscars and were super stoked about it. It was the most fun moment of the night.
BEST ACCEPTANCE SPEECH:
We might think this is the best acceptance speech ever. Instead of just sobbing and thanking her mom and manager, Best Supporting Actress winner Arquette (for Boyhood) used it for a badass feminist moment and said:
“To every woman who gave birth to every taxpayer and citizen of this nation, we have fought for everybody else’s equal rights. It’s our time to have wage equality once and for all and equal rights for women in the United States of America.”
And then the Internet went wild again because a) this is awesome/history worthy and b) Meryl Streep and J. Lo had the best reactions ever.
As the 2015 Oscars come to an end and the frenzy dies down you can stop thinking about how you would so totally have an awesome acceptance speech if you ever won an Oscar and not make a fool of yourself. But don’t stop daydreaming about your own Oscar dress, because that fantasy is just too much fun!
