We know. You’re on your way to school or work, it’s Monday morning, and the weather $UCKS. The solution? Pop in your headphones and listen to these five Music Monday tracks because HEY!, they rock.

RYN WEAVER – PROMISES
If you haven’t yet heard of Ryn Weaver or her “song of the summer” OctoHate (you livin’ under a rock or something?!), here’s your chance to have a second go: Promises is another insanely catchy track. We promise.

THE PAINS OF BEING PURE AT HEART – POISON TOUCH
Another Brooklyn indie-pop band, another happy-go-lucky indie-pop song, and another sarcastic indie-pop quote: “I wrote Poison Touch for Taylor Swift, but I think her number was in my old phone so I gave it to A Sunny Day In Glasgow’s Jen Goma instead.”

SIR SLY – YOU HAUNT ME
This is the first single from Sir Sly’s first full length album. Who are Sir Sly? Three cute California boys who… who are we kidding that’s good enough!

FICKLE FRIENDS – FOR YOU
We’ve all got fickle friends but we guarantee that these Fickle Friends from Brighton won’t be the kind of friends you’ll want to be changing frequently!

CARIBOU – CAN’T DO WITHOUT YOU
Caribou is a fave here at the office so we just haaaaaaaaaaaaad to include this track from his latest album. He’s also Canadian and today’s the Polaris Prize so in memory of Caribou’s 2008 win, here’s a track we can’t do without.
