It’s the beginning of the transitional period between seasons but we’re not ready to give up on summer yet. We’ve hand picked five electrosynth, dreamy songs to help guide you into fall while keeping that dream of summer alive.

GEORGE MAPLE – TALK TALK
Don’t let the fact that she has a man’s name fool you – Australia’s George Maple is the new queen of electro-soul. (Her real name is Jess Higgs btw.) Talk Talk sees her using her lustrous vocals over a lushly minimal, downtempo beat. Like Jessie Ware and AlunaGeorge before her, she’s about to blow up.

HAERTS – GIVING UP
Nina Fabi (channeling Stevie Nicks) fronts this exciting Brooklyn electropop band. Giving Up is a perfectly crafted pop song complete with airy synths and soaring vocals. Check out the video below showing the tune’s lyrics scrawled in shimmering gold paint across the lead singer’s body.

FMLYBND – YOUNG WILD
After a hiatus to reformat the band, this California “electronic grunge” band’s latest single whips through the air with high energy, guided by a pulsing kick drum and anthemic loops and vocals. Two thumbs up for awesome.

FAE – RUOK
RUOK is the first release for this Danish duo, a track with dreamlike chord changes and building synth lines. Matilde Böcher’s voice effortlessly climbs towards that euphoric moment just after the four minute mark. Let this brilliant song take you away.

BROLIN – SWIM DEEP
Swim Deep is more of the subtle pop sound that Brolin has been recently exploring. The track remains delicate as his vocals float over pulsing hooks and synths. Brolin may be a masked man in photos but he’s not hiding anything when it comes to his musical talents.
